Our Rug Heritage

A Journey Through Tradition and Craftsmanship:

Weaving techniques vary throughout Morocco, with each tribe, region, and village developing its own distinct style. These differences are shaped by generations of shared knowledge, passed down as elders teach the craft to younger artisans within their communities.

Because weaving evolves in response to daily life, the rugs created in each region often reflect local climate, resources, and customs. Artisans in the snowy Atlas Mountains, for example, traditionally weave thicker rugs than those made in desert regions. These regional variations influence every aspect of the process—from the animals the wool is sourced from, to the natural dye materials available, and the symbols and patterns woven into each piece.
